GETTING THERE
We’re so excited to welcome you to Sri Lanka! Here’s how to plan your journey to Hambantota.
If you're travelling from the UK, Switzerland, Malaysia, or any other country, the best airport to fly into is Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) – Colombo.
We will be arranging group transportation from Colombo to Hambantota for guests arriving between 30th - 31st July. As these will be shared transfers, you may need to wait for other guests arriving around the same time.

If you would prefer a private driver, we'd be happy to assistant with arrangements - this can be organised at your own expense.

Please share your travel details below:

✨ We offer special room rates for 28th July - 3rd August (click above icon to be redirected)
For suites, please make a note in your booking within the 'Special Request' section or reach out on WhatsApp to +94 77 411 6725
For interconnecting rooms, please book two rooms under the same category and add a note for “Interconnecting” within the 'Special Request' section
Additionally, we recommend checking the hotel website without using the code; they often run a Members Online Saver Rate, which might work out cheaper than the special room rates.

WHAT CAN YOU DO IN SRI LANKA?
Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’re returning for more, Sri Lanka is full of unforgettable experiences. If you’re coming before or staying on after the wedding, here are some highlights we recommend exploring...
Go on Safari

Yala National Park & Udawalawe
Spot leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and a variety of exotic birds on an open-jeep safari through the island’s most iconic national parks.
Taste Sri Lankan Cuisine
Join a cooking class or simply indulge in hoppers, kottu, and spicy curries — the food is a huge part of the island experience.

Explore Ancient Cities
Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Dambulla Cave Temple
Climb the iconic Lion Rock for panoramic views and discover centuries-old cave temples filled with Buddhist murals and statues.

Visit a Tea Estate

Nuwara Eliya & the central highlands
Tour a working tea factory, sip Ceylon tea, and enjoy cooler climates with English-style gardens and colonial charm.
Relax by the Coast

East Coast – Arugam Bay, Pasikudah & Trincomalee
For sunny skies and calmer seas in August, head east! These coastal towns offer golden beaches, snorkelling, whale watching (in Trincomalee), and world-class surf (in Arugam Bay).
Please note: August is off-season on the West and South Coast due to the southwest monsoon; the sea may be rough and you most likely will be unable to swim or surf

Take the Scenic Train
Ella to Kandy
This legendary train ride winds through lush tea plantations, mountains, and waterfalls — one of the most beautiful journeys in the world.
Discover Sri Lanka’s Gemstones

Ratnapura & local boutiques
Sri Lanka is world-famous for its sapphires and other precious stones. Visit gem museums, explore mines in Ratnapura (the “City of Gems”), or shop for ethically sourced jewellery in reputable Colombo stores.
